Breakfast was fantastic with a wide variety of options.
The room's radiator didn't work properly, leading to inconsistent heating.

Modern vibes with great food
I stayed for 3 nights and the place feels pretty modern, love the decor! Staff were super helpful and the food in the restaurant was tasty and not pricey. Just wish the hot water worked better—had to wait ages. Comfy bed though, and loads of parking! Definitely a pleasant stay overall.

The room was clean and comfortable, but lacked proper ventilation.

missingWrote a review on Jul 07lack of air conditioningoutdated lounge
Stepping into some rooms can feel like entering a time capsule. The absence of air conditioning in certain renovated rooms can make for a sweltering night, especially when windows open to unpleasant kitchen smells. the lounge bar could use a refresh to feel more modern and inviting, as it has an outdated vibe. Lastly, parking could use better illumination, especially if you arrive late at night.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making for a welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast offered a fantastic selection, and the cooked options were fresh and delicious. the double room was quite compact and lacked a view, and despite the comfort, it was uncomfortably warm, necessitating us to sleep on top of the bed. The overall experience left us with mixed feelings, but we found enough positives to recommend it.

I really enjoyed my stay. the comfortable bed was like sleeping on a cloud, and the breakfast options were fantastic, with something for everyone! After a busy day, lounging in the cozy bar and the inviting dining room was just what I needed to unwind. The room was a bit on the smaller side, but it didn’t take away from my overall experience. 🌟

The location of Victoria Hotel is a big plus. Just a short walk to town and easy access to buses and trains. The recent refurbishment added a nice modern touch, and my room was clean and comfortable. The bed felt great, and the amenities like the kettle and coffee were a nice touch. Breakfast options were impressive. I enjoyed the cooked breakfast with a variety of fruits, cereals, and juices. Staff made me feel welcome and were helpful throughout my stay. Unfortunately, there were a few issues. My room was quite warm, making it uncomfortable at night. The bathroom had a nice spacious shower but could benefit from a detachable showerhead for convenience. A few hooks in the bathroom would be useful too. One night, I found it difficult to find staff when I needed assistance and had to wait a while for someone to assist me at dinner. While the food was generally good, it was hit-or-miss with some meals not meeting expectations. A bit more attention in ensuring everything is freshly prepared would elevate the dining experience.
